If your baby has redness and or bumps around the nappy area, that is commonly known as nappy rash. It happens because the skin has become irritated which can be due to:

  • Nappies that are too tight, causing chaffing and rubbing
  • Wet nappies that are left on for too long
  • A particular detergent, nappy, or baby wipes

You can avoid nappy rash by:

  • Keeping the nappy area open to the natural air for some "breathing' time

Dry Baby Skin

You probably shouldn't worry if your newborn has flaky dry skin- its fairly common. The underlying skin is perfectly healthy, soft, and moist. Other common causes are bathing too often, using irritating products that strip the skin's natural oils and makes it harder for your child's skin to keep naturally protected and when the weather changes. Though dry skin is a normal "skin type"  unbalanced can be irritating. Dry skin can look flaky, rough and wrinkly. Dry skin can appear anywhere, though very common on their faces, arms and legs.

You can usually treat it at home by adding special water-dispersible bath oils to your child’s bath water and use a nourishing moisturiser after your child’s bath will help to stop the skin from drying out.

To boost protection and relief you can apply Gilly Goat Soft Baby Moisturising Lotion after every bath or when neededLavander to help relieve dry skin and keep it soft and smooth.

Prickly Heat

Prickly heat can form into inflammation and discomfort. it can appear as small pinkish-red bumps, mostly on the parts of your baby's body that are prone to heat and sweating, like:

  • Neck
  • Nappy area, bottom, and inner thighs
  • Armpits
  • Skin Folds

Keeping the skin dry and at a regular temperature and loose-fitting clothes are all you need to avoid it happening.
